Through our project: Swab to Save, Matches 4 Minorities aims to expand the current bone marrow donor registry. We hope to educate others on the need for diversification in the registry, through recruitment drives, collaborations, info sessions, and more. Currently, ethnic minorities have the lowest percentage of donors in the registry which makes it difficult for patients of ethnic minorities to find a match, as matches are best made with those with the same ethnicity as the patient.
