In June 2025, our team reached an exciting milestone in our organization’s journey. On June 12, we held our first official meeting with Directors Shei Lina-Bundalian and Katherine Lopez of the National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP).

Building a Shared Vision
This meeting was a pivotal opportunity to dive deep into the mission of the NMDP and explore how closely it aligns with the core purpose of Matches4Minorities. We spent time discussing the extensive, life-saving impact the NMDP has already achieved, while also brainstorming future opportunities for our members to contribute to that legacy.
Our goal is simple: to expand our reach and amplify the call for bone marrow donor registration, and this partnership is a major step forward in making that happen.
How You Can Make a Difference
The NMDP shared valuable resources during our session, and we want to ensure our community has access to them as well. If you are looking for ways to get involved, we encourage you to review the slide deck provided by the NMDP. It offers a comprehensive look at how YOU can take action, including the specific, easy steps required to become a potential match for someone in need.
We are incredibly grateful to Directors Lina-Bundalian and Lopez for their time and guidance. Together, we are committed to building a more inclusive and effective registry. Stay tuned for more updates on how we’ll be putting these new opportunities into action!
