In July 2025, our members, representing M4M, helped the National Marrow Donor Program run a booth at the 626 Night Market in Arcadia. We talked to passersby about the process of donation and had fun with those who stopped by our booth with some giveaways! We were able to add 50+ people to the donor registry in just one night!

We had our first meeting with directors Shei Lina-Bundalian and Katherine Lopez on June 12, 2025! Here we discussed what NMDP's mission is and how it aligns with that of Matches 4 Minorities. We went into depth on the widespread impact NMDP has had along with opportunities that members of M4M can participate in to help raise awareness for bone marrow donor registry. Please feel free to look into this slide deck provided by NMDP that describes how YOU can get involved and the steps to becoming a match for someone out there in the world.

In February 2023, our members attended Flintridge Prep's Community Engagement Fair to talk to students about M4M and bone marrow donation! We had our own booth and presentation board! We were not able to take pictures at the fair but here is a picture of our board!

Our members have been split into teams to start creating infographics to make information about bone marrow donation easy to share and read! These infographics will be posted on our website and printed for distribution throughout our community!

In June 2023, our founder, representing M4M and BetheMatch, gave a presentation on bone marrow donor statistics at Kama Choir's annual concert. The presentation focused on the racial disparity between Caucasian people and people of color. Through this event and presentation, we were able to receive over $2,000 to donate to support BetheMatch's new Asian American, Native Hawaiian & Pacific Islander Member Enrollment Program.

A few of our members went to UCLA's campus to recruit students to join the bone marrow donor registry. We handed out flyers with instructions on how to join the registry and walked students through the process of joining. We were able to recruit about 50 donors!
